Yeh Shih-tao葉石濤

Yeh Shih-tao (1925–2008) was born in Tainan. He began publishing fiction in Japanese in the last years of Japanese rule and was imprisoned during the White Terror. His Outline History of Taiwan Literature (1987) set out a Taiwan-centred view of literary history. This route features his story “My Second Aunt, the Yidan and I”.
